Custom bottle caps are in high demand this time of year, for winter brewing and for gifts. So we want you to know exactly what you can expect from BottleMark during the month of December:
Our guidance below is based on published dates from our shipping partners, but they are likely to be overwhelmed and slower than expected on some packages.
We cannot guarantee any arrival dates, and encourage you to order as early as possible.
Rush orders are still available, but to ensure we meet the Christmas deadline for existing orders, we may suspended rush orders at some point. Select the Rush option during checkout to be bumped to the head of the line. Rush orders usually ship in 1-2 business days.
As of Dec 13 we expect to have all our production capacity fully booked for shipment on or before the published domestic mailing guideline date for pre-Christmas delivery using Economy shipping.
Orders placed by Dec 14 with Standard shipping (which is faster) should meet the deadline for that service.
Please note: Orders placed by the published dates are not guaranteed to make it in time.
We encourage you to order early; delivery schedules can (and probably will) slow during the holiday rush. And besides, you'll need time to wrap!
Orders placed after this date may make it in time if we can get to them—we'll do our absolute best, but the machines only go so fast! Do note in the Special Instructions that you're ordering a gift, and we'll do what we can.
The faster (and more expensive) Express shipping option is a 1 or 2 day service. If you order by Dec 21 and ship Express with Rush Production, you should still get your package for Christmas. We'll keep printing and shipping, and later orders may arrive on time, but it'll be tight. Unfortunately, we can offer no guarantees on shipping times, regardless of what USPS says.
If you're ordering from outside the USA, we can't say exactly when you're too late—international shipping is slow and variable, usually due to customs import processing. And it's probably slower this time of year.
USPS suggests that most orders sent by the first week of December may make it to most places. But our experience suggests it's a gamble.
Express packges may still make it if you order in the second week of December. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee timely delivery of any international shipment.
We publish on our front page an estimate of our backlog—how long until we can create and ship your caps. It can be up to two weeks in calendar time, depending on demand. We try to keep it reasonably accurate, but high demand this time of year makes that difficult, so please treat it as a rough guideline.

A gift code gives the recepient full creative freedom to design the bottle cap of his/her wildest dreams. Gift cards ship separately from custom caps; order by Dec 18 for probable delivery before Christmas (or Dec 20 with Priority Mail shipping.) Digital gift certificates are delivered electronically, so order any time for last-minute Christmas gifts.
